These terms govern your use of the website and of the booking tools on it. The rental itself is governed by our Rental Terms and by the rental agreement you sign before handover. If there is a conflict, the signed rental agreement prevails over the Rental Terms, and the Rental Terms prevail over these Terms of Use.
By using the website you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the website. If you use the website on behalf of a company, you confirm that you are authorised to bind that company.
You must be at least 18 to use the website and at least 23 to rent a vehicle. Some vehicle classes require a higher minimum age; the age that applies to your booking is shown on the vehicle page and in your booking confirmation before you pay. You must hold a driving licence valid in the United Arab Emirates: a UAE licence if you are a resident, your own GCC licence if you are visiting from a GCC country, or your home licence together with an International Driving Permit if you are visiting from anywhere else. ALKA arranges luxury vehicle rentals. Vehicles are supplied from our own fleet and from licensed partner fleet operators in the United Arab Emirates.
Your booking confirmation identifies the entity that supplies the vehicle and issues the tax invoice for the rental. Where a partner operator is the supplier, ALKA arranges and administers the rental and the partner remains responsible for the vehicle, its registration, its insurance and its roadworthiness.
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you give us and for keeping your account credentials confidential. Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorised use. We may suspend or close an account that is used in breach of these terms, that contains information we cannot verify, or where we reasonably suspect fraud.
A booking request is an offer by you. A contract is formed only when we send a booking confirmation. Until then, availability, price and vehicle allocation are not guaranteed.
We reserve a vehicle class and, where stated, a specific vehicle. If the exact vehicle becomes unavailable for reasons outside our control we will offer an equivalent or better vehicle, or a full refund of amounts paid for that booking.
Bookings are subject to successful identity verification, a valid security deposit hold and signature of the rental agreement. If any of these fails we may cancel the booking and refund amounts paid, less any charge properly due under the Rental Terms.
Prices are shown in UAE dirhams (AED) and, unless stated otherwise, exclude value added tax, which is added at the rate in force (currently 5 per cent). Optional extras, delivery, collection, insurance upgrades, mileage in excess of the included allowance, tolls, fines and administrative charges are billed separately as set out in the Rental Terms and your booking confirmation.
We take reasonable care with pricing. If an obvious error appears in a price or description we may correct it and, where a booking is affected, we will tell you before charging and give you the choice to confirm at the corrected price or cancel with a full refund.
The ALKA name, logo, site design, text, photography and video are owned by us or licensed to us and are protected by intellectual property law. You may view and print pages for your own use in connection with a booking. You may not copy, republish, scrape, frame or use our content commercially without our written permission.
Vehicle images are representative. Colour, trim and equipment may differ between individual vehicles of the same model.

The website may link to or embed third-party services such as maps, payment pages, identity verification and messaging. Their use is governed by their own terms. We are not responsible for third-party content or services, but we choose our providers with care and place contractual obligations on them where they handle your data.
We aim to keep the website available and accurate, but we provide it on an as available basis. We may suspend, withdraw or restrict all or part of it for maintenance, security or business reasons. We do not warrant that the website will be uninterrupted or error free.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of business or business opportunity, loss of anticipated savings, loss of data, or loss of enjoyment, in each case however arising.
Subject to the paragraph above, our total liability arising out of or in connection with your use of the website and any single booking is limited to the total amount you paid to us for that booking.
We are not liable for failure or delay caused by events outside our reasonable control, including extreme weather, sandstorm, flood, fire, epidemic, civil unrest, strike, act of government, failure of public infrastructure, telecommunications or payment networks, or the act or default of a third party.
You will indemnify us against loss, damage, cost and expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these terms, your misuse of the website, or your provision of false or fraudulent information to us.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the website, cancel a booking, or decline to hand over a vehicle where you breach these terms or the Rental Terms, where identity verification fails, where the security deposit cannot be secured, or where we reasonably believe there is a risk of fraud, or a risk to the vehicle, to you or to others. Where we cancel without fault on your part, we refund amounts paid for the affected booking.
We process personal data as described in our Privacy Policy and use cookies as described in our Cookie Policy. Both form part of your agreement with us.
We may amend these terms. The version and effective date are shown at the top of this page. The terms that apply to a booking are those in force when we issue your booking confirmation.
These terms and any dispute arising out of them are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Dubai. The courts of Dubai have exclusive jurisdiction, and you and we submit to that jurisdiction.
These terms are published in English, German, Turkish and Arabic. The English version prevails in the event of any discrepancy, except where mandatory law requires otherwise.
If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in force. Our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver of it.
